I went so far down the YouTube rabbit hole, I ended up in China.
is it Chinese? or maybe other asian language? ...maybe Plato had a right with his shadow on the wall of cave... or maybe i drunk too much beer
Japanese. The first instrument played was a Koto. Those children were all Japanese I believe from the Tokyo School of music.
@RbRb it is not japan. the first instrument is guzheng and it is a Chinese university.
@Przemysław Jarząbkowski A Chinese movie~
@Rb do not miss leading other people~
@軍爺 I have seen ALL of those instruments played by Japanese people live, hence why I thought they were Japanese. I wasn't misleading anyone so get your facts straight before criticising.
@Rb Ok，so get it clear，all Japanese traditional instruments are from China~ and some traditional Chinese instruments are from middle asia thousands years ago，so get your facts straight before telling other people！
@軍爺 You made an insinuation that I was misleading without knowing why I thought the people and instruments were being played at the Tokyo School of music, that is why I told you to get your facts straight, so, get your facts straight.
All the instruments played came from China~~~
Rb JEZ，this is a chinese movie，and the first instrument is chinese 筝.Just search the history about koto to get where koto are from
Thanos I liked your comment, all these other cry baby bitches can go argue amongst themselves
@Rb Koto derived from Chinese Zheng. But in this case, the movie is Chinese, so there is nothing to argue about.
@Rb you know the fact that was Chinese dont you ? ,,, well i cant differenciate British and German either,, so i understand you,
@Rb Japan, don't be sad. The first traditional instruments are from CHINA, GuZheng. All Japanese traditional instruments are influenced by China. If you watch Hetalia then you'll know, Japan is a kid but China already an adult. LMFAO.
Teacher: kids dont fight doesnt fight physicallyKids: fights by playing instrumentsAnd still the kids got scoldedBut the school guests were quite amazed but the students still got scoldedBich at least they didnt pull out each others hair
what do you think the fence was there for
in the starting of movie, they fight physically, but the fence only put on traditional instrument' side to separate them, teacher and school only like modern/western musical instrument's student .
Lee Leng can you tell me the name of the movie?
@Bitz Bitz our shining/shiny days, 闪光少女
Lee Leng lol as soon as i said that i saw a comment under saying the title but thanks anyway : ) (sorry for bad grammar)
@Bitz Bitz its ok. i just think you don’t understand chinese
Lee Leng lol yeah i was just watching some weird video then i saw this video
I've not the slightest clue what is happening but I'm still enjoying it
Looks like Eastern, VS Western instruments.
They're playing 'The flight of the bumblebee' ..
They are having instrument battle
the dude with horn Distracted the Western Style that made them forgot their keys...
This is a symbolic fight about traditional Chinese and "Western". However, if you notice, each instrument sounds unique and thus they ALL have a place as their entirety makes up a larger symphony. There should be no "my instrument is better than yours". Hope this isn't some kind of strawman argument between "Western Medicine" and TCM .
The headmaster of this music school in the movie, showed no respect towards the traditional Chinese instrument, and too much admiration to the Western instrument. He put a gate to block out the traditional side, meanwhile have priority to the Western side. Music has no limitations, what the headmaster doing is evil. So this competition wasnt a "symbolic" fiht
@Vanessa Leung If thats the case, the traditional Chinese instruments needed to win. To show the headmaster that no instrument is superior to the other.
@SLIMEY DEKU well that just shows that the Eastern instruments are better.
@Dylan Slater No, it shows that the Western musicians were cocky and underestimated the Chinese instruments
@SLIMEY DEKU personally, I think a draw should be better since it shows that both have their own charm and shouldn't be compare to each other.
@Aira Ichigo True. That would be like saying "they're both too awesome!" and it wouldn't offend anyone
@SLIMEY DEKU Yup. Tbh, I think comparing Eastern and Western music instruments is like asking between an orange and an apple, which is more delicious. From the beginning, they cannot be compared for their greatness at all.
@Aira Ichigo That's a great way to think. I agree
i just finished watching it here on youtube.please receive a virtual hug from me.very grateful for your comment.
I love you thank you so much! You saved my night
lol.... "Children of the Corn", meets flight of the bumble bee.... damn China, you scary !
Can someone tell me the name of English version of this show
I think all of the instruments are amazing they’re just different
I can feel for the confused old man in the middle of the corridor
I'm not gonna telling lie.. it's looks like all the characters as like anime.. but yeah that's so awesome
I play violin and when I saw how they held them ESPECIALLY the middle violen I GAGGED
This is my first time saw this scene , in my mind it's about an traditional accoustic vs modern accoustic and they just want to show who is the best
Everything you can do I can do better in Chinese.
@Mai Sakurajima are you kidding me ?
@唐欢 I'm pretty sure that Japanese tho?
@唐欢 you know the title of the video
Mai Sakurajima haha you’d better to read some books
@ZHIWEI SUN and their playing the Koto
Mai Sakurajima thats the guzheng the video and movie is chinese
Mai Sakurajima 视频和电影里面是中国人在弹古筝。
Imagine instead of this being a movie this was a stage play or theater. I would so be there but the thing is I live halfway across the globe from there so thats not going to happen T_T
Okay this sounds like those sound tracks in Disney movies when a bird is chasing it's prey up in the sky. Is this just me... Oh okay. Still love this
Am I the only one who thinks of kung-fu hustle?
Whats the name of this movie? I want to watch it!!!
I love this movie so much the traditional Chinese instrument are so cool
Imagine being the confused men in the middle of the corridor
NiaJustNia it’s probably loud as hell
@Omega 3,3 What if they're just there to do a fire safety check, they're off to check the fire escape down the corridor, then suddenly they're hit between two walls of sound
in case you guys are wondering, according to my memories...the chinese instruments and western instruments are two big rivals in the music school, but less and less people are playing traditional chinese instrument so the school decided to close it down, but they made this competition to see whos better and of cuz the traditional chinese instrument won at last, and they get to still hv that class in the school
@kim xie Where can I find full movie? I can only understand English.
kim xie what’s the name of the movie??
chinese instrument arent in danger, the chinese elite train their children to chinese instrument, not only western instrument, so may be the classical music is very big in asia, and each chinese city try to open an opera, but traditionnal instrument will never disappear, its a bit like tai-shi and mma...its part of their identity. actually tonn of band use traditionnal instrument and not only for classical music. you have a lot of it in movie series anime too.
The erhu can't be replaced. The tone is unlike any western instrument.
I'm a western, I study classical music but I vote for Chinese traditional instruments
rivals? sorry but there is no rivalry, only chinese peopletry to convince themselves that they are somehow rivals .western music has descended to higher realms and will never be reached by chinese.
I Love Both of them :D and that's because I Love Music all kinds of Music <3 I'd Love to see them play together again <3 <3
