Chinese Air Force`s second visit to Belgrade Airport in two days, extremely rare to see these planes anywhere outside China! After delivering military equipment to Batajnica Air Base, 3 of 6 planes that landed there transfered to Belgrade Airport for refueling before heading back to Urumqi, China.

虽然在此次向塞尔维亚空运军事物资以前，运-20已经在国内外多次执行过涉及人员和物资的运输任务，其中包括向俄罗斯投送参演部队和装备、远赴万里之外的汤加交付援助物资。但这些任务的规模和强度，与此次向塞尔维亚交付军事物资的规模和强度是不可同日而语的。

当地时间8日，塞尔维亚执飞俄罗斯圣彼得堡至贝尔格莱德的民航客机JU671在飞越立陶宛领空期间遭到北约战机跟随，此次跟随的战机喷涂比利时的标志。最终，该架民航客机在当地时间13时50分安全降落贝尔格莱德机场。
塞尔维亚总统武契奇7日接受媒体采访时曾表示，4月6日塞尔维亚方面收到俄罗斯空中交通管制部门通知，一架北约国家的战机跟随塞尔维亚航空公司的一架民航客机在俄罗斯领空飞行。武契奇称，塞尔维亚将要求俄罗斯和北约提供更详细的信息，并要求北约对此作出解释。

SCMP reported that there were 6 of these planes that flew in formation to Serbia for the delivery of military ware that Serbia had ordered back in 2019.

They are quite different in internal layout and wing devices. The C-17 is a lot more unconventional design with more focus on short-take off and outsize cargo, and uses older materials (because of its age). The C-17 is also 25% larger. “This was unique in that it was in the early hours and with so many Y-20s together, all using MLAT (multilateration). Given that it was said to be a scheduled weapons delivery, this makes sense. Similar NATO deliveries to Poland or Ukraine by military transports have used MLAT before.”

@Milos MilicTROB204 Thanks for the confirmation. Didn’t realise there were so many just by reading Chinese media. Did read that they landed 3 each in 2 airports outside of Belgrade. 15 flights, monumental! PLAAF has turned it into a long range navigation training exercise. What was also interesting was their stop over in Turkey. Do you know the reason why? It’s almost just next door to Serbia.
