@pchander100
I live in U.S, I see how bad it is here on a daily basis. Thank you for the positive image of China.  Our lawmakers should see this to understand how things are breaking down here in U.S.  Instead, they are busy trashing China!

i have a friend who's been staying in Guangdong province since January she came from the Caribbean and she says shes never felt safer walking around at 2am in the morning with her phone out with just a few other female friends. In the Caribbean or USA she'd be robbed or harassed

This is one of the reasons why I like China, Thanks to strict law and CCTV cameras, China is a very safe country. Good education is another factor here. The only other country which I can compare is Singapore. Just like China, they also have strict law and good education system, and there is so safe that I even dare to walk in the street alone at 2am when most Singaporeans are already sleeping during this hour.

China is safer than US's cities. Most Chinese don't like to cause troubles to others.  They go about their own business and don't care about other's affairs. At least there is no racism, very very few physcotic people, drug addictions and jealousy mentality.  But doesn't mean there aren't few bad apples around.   Reason they is one race absent is the male black, this category people are always troublesome, into gangsterism  drugs, scam, robbery, beating up vulnerable chinese people, racism, the list goes on non stop. Really this category of people need to learn manners, socially moral.

Living in US I would can see the western media are notoriously lied and successfully brainwashed most Westerners that everything about China is evil. Only the few millions that actually fly back and forth working in China know the truths about China. I feel relaxed and safe to walk alone in China by myself, but not in the US. Since Trump became president, the hatred of the Chinese Americans has been escalated to a new level in the US. Many believed the Trump tariffs really worked, but it only caused huge inflation for US consumers and many US companies has to laid off workers like myself. Ultimately US consumers paid for all the tariffs.

I am sick to the back teeth of all the China haters in the west constantly slagging off everything Chinese and there are several on YouTube and if anyone posts anything positive the haters call them "white monkeys" or CCP shills I am hoping to move to Yunnan province later to further my language learning and take the hsk exams sequential over the following years I am a sports trader so can fund myself so money isn't too much of a problem (famous last words)

@cooj103
I live here in the US and about 15 minutes from downtown SF. Have a look around when in San Francisco especially downtown.  The urine and fece scents will  make a very memorable vacation for ya lol.
Oh, and don't forget NOT to leave anything in your rental car or it WILL get broken in to. Don't even bother driving across the bridge to the East Bay.  You'll find a lot of dangerous drivers on the freeway whom most likely high on some kind of substances.

Don't believe the news/media & our government that we are the Richest country in the world. why are we Trillions in debt? China buys most of our Treasury bills as their investments that keeps parts of our government running day to day. but they don't tell Americans that & most don't have a clue that happens.China is min dozen years ahead in technology/infrastructure/transportations.
America still don't have high speed bullet trains going cross country - they been trying since like 1971 when Amtrak was funded by the government.

I speak as a Korean, and this is common in all East Asia, not just China.
Crime is rare, at least in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and even North Korea.
I remember 1985 in Korea when I was young. Back then, even in Korea, there were street robbers, pickpockets and thieves, which were rare at night.
However, it cannot even be compared with the crimes of the United States in 1985, which means that there were only a handful of robbers in Korea at that time.
However, Korea's GDP per capita at that time was 5,000 dollars.
Now, Korea's GDP is over $30,000, and even a handful of robbers have disappeared.
This is normal.
The fact that crime and homelessness are overflowing in the United States, where per capita GDP is $80,000, proves that the United States has structural problems.
In the United States, even if per capita gdp exceeds 100,000 dollars, that figure will never disappear.
When I was young, the Korean government propagated to the people that Korea would become an advanced country if GDP per capita exceeded $30,000, and that they would be patient until then.
In Korea, crimes of advanced countries and crimes of underdeveloped countries are distinguished.
In Korea, robbery, theft, pickpocketing, etc. are classified as crimes of the underdeveloped country, and it is assumed that they do not occur in developed countries.
Instead, in Korea, accounting fraud for tax avoidance,
Only crimes such as adultery cases surrounding inheritance and murdering a spouse in order to get a large amount of insurance money occur.
In Korea, this is called advanced crime.
According to Korea's classification, the United States is a backward country.
What amazes me is that Americans don't even realize how serious their country's problems are.

@JohnSmith-sm7ez
Of course they realise. They discuss it all day long. Unlike Chinese cherrypicked data where everyone must say how great it is. Is 150 million malnourished people ok? Is a 144 th ranked Heathcare system ok? Or shall we just talk about big futuristic buildings all day long?

@user-nz8lw8oo1e
@JohnSmith-sm7ez  Excuses are ugly. As a teenager, I was an American follower who loved American pop like Madonna and Michael Jackson and Hollywood movies like Tom Cruise.
In my view, America today is no better than it was in the 1980s.
The United States has had many opportunities to improve society, but it has failed every time.
I believed that the United States would bring peace and well-being to the world as the leader of world democracy in the 21st century.
I'm an adult, now I know the reality of America, and I'm not an immature boy who believes in the American Dream.
So, I don't trust America at all anymore.
The Chinese problem you pointed out is not a problem at all.
You can't tell the difference between what's most important and what's trivial.
In the 1980s, Korea was also a poor country overflowing with malnourished children, and I was one of them.
However, if you live well later, malnutrition is not a big problem now.
When I was a teenager, I bought American pop records and went to the cinema without eating properly.
Americans do not progress because they do not know how to persevere now for the sake of the future.
Importantly, China has continued to improve its society since the 1980s.
So, I will pin my hopes on China for the future.
You should realize now.
America's problems won't be solved in a hundred years
A hundred years from now, Americans will be repeating the same arguments over and over again.
China and Korea in 100 years' time will probably become cultural countries that completely solve social welfare problems, where people resolve social controversies and unite without the stress of arguments, and finally enjoy their hobbies.
